Quality Education is The Most Powerful Tool to Empower Girls

 

Education is a fundamental human right. A fundamental right means getting proper education without any restriction is called fundamental right, and to get the right knowledge, not only bookish knowledge is needed, but also the knowledge of those who can differentiate between good and bad.

Today, when we talk about education, it seems that we are thinking about a particular issue. And maybe we can help someone get and give. Before moving ahead, I want to tell you the truth. I have two children, the elder one is doing graduation, and the younger one is currently studying in the ninth standard. I feel very good that both are working very hard, many times in the evening, the whole family sits together, and everyone discusses education and how important education is in life. A brother lives in my village who has 7 children, and my brother does not even have a special job to fulfill his daily needs. Every month when we go to the village with the whole family, all the children come to meet us, it feels very good, but one thing always bothers me. That is, what will be the future of so many children?

One day, my wife and I thought a lot about why not a girl take the responsibility of educating a girl. We put this to both our children, and everyone agreed and took one of the girls to the city and got her admitted to the school where my son studies. Now she is very happy and got 6th rank in the first year itself. I chose to have a girl because I understood that if I could help even one girl get an education, then through her, many generations will understand the importance of education and will understand equality and their rights, and the country will develop.

Let us talk about how to empower girls and make them future leaders in this article. Education for girls is the most powerful catalyst for change. But not only education, but quality education is needed. If there is education, then everything is there, like she will develop enthusiasm, passion, consciousness, become fearless, and become a leader.

In today's time, it costs a lot to get the right education; many times, if you have money, there is a lack of resources. Due to this, the children are not able to get the right education, even if they want to. On the other hand, for the common citizens, getting their child admitted to a good school is not possible even after working very hard. An educated girl is one who not only understands her rights but also empowers others.

1. Understanding of Quality Education

Quality education for girls is not just limited to school. It is a collective concept that provides a safe, inclusive, and empowering learning environment that enables girls to develop their full potential and make a difference in their lives and communities.

The key components of quality education for girls include:

Empowering curriculum: An education that is free from gender bias and stereotypes, and instead sets a new example by promoting critical thinking, problem-solving, and life skills. This should emphasize and encourage girls to understand and pursue core subjects like science and technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) that can help them meet the educational challenges of the future. This can only happen when girls get quality education.

Safe and supportive environment: One rule common to all schools is that the school should be violence-free, no child should face harassment, and be free from discrimination. This includes adequate sanitation facilities in schools, especially for adolescent girls. Schools help children learn to keep themselves safe.

Qualified and gender-sensitive teachers: It is important for teachers to provide gender-specific education in schools so that they can be informed about it before time. Boys and girls should be taught to respect each other in the true sense. Gender-sensitive education can strengthen the fact that everyone should get respect in society.

2. A girl positive changer of society

Education is a double-edged weapon; it is a very powerful and effective force in society. Education gives identity in society, which includes respect and hope for others. Today, so many girls are educated in rural and urban areas, but one thing is lacking: proper guidance and opportunities. In my village, 18 girls are educated at present, but out of 18, only three girls are doing a proper job, and they are setting a good example in the village. 

Personally, I have come to know that a girl's parents are very poor and they have struggled for a long time; now they have built a house, cars, and they are living like a rich family. Their parent had proved to offer a quality education to their child.  That girl a very capable of leading village meetings and raise voice at the village level. 

Another girl became a police officer. Many times she goes to schools and gives her testimony and her achievements, so that girls can get motivated and they can make a vision and mission in their lives. She is a role model not in the village but area.

Furthermore, an educated girl contributes significantly not in their family's well-being but the broader community. Education always leads a secure and safe path.  where no fear, no doubt, but full of confidence. and helps to tackle and over comes from challenges. and become an ideal in society.

3. Child Marriages Reduce

As I have mentioned in the above note about the power of education, child marriage is the biggest challenge in society. The unity of people has failed to reduce and stop child marriage. Because they adopted a cruel idea, they punished the family and members who practiced child marriage. I understand that this is not the right solution to stop child marriage. The best way to stop child marriage is to understand the disadvantages of child marriage, self-awareness, and a strong will. All quality comes from education; education can bring awareness about child marriage and its disadvantages. The aim of higher education is not only to reduce child marriage, but also to address health problems in women.

 It is a fact that education is one of the most effective means to deal with child marriage. By providing quality schooling to girls, society empowers, promotes equality, and respect, and makes a better future for girls in their family and community. 

It has to be believed by girls that they are the future leaders, and they have responsibilities to change society. Ultimately, education is one of powerful ways to change girls' mentality and can reduce child marriage.

4. Understanding - health is wealth

For girls, the saying "Health is Wealth" is not just a phrase, but a fundamental truth that shapes their entire future life.  The health challenge is also a big challenge in the World, every person has their own challenge and concerns about how to get well and be fit in daily life. Every day they do different kinds of exercises and take medicine to keep themselves well. Girls are quite strong from boys, this is my observation. They are strong mentally and emotionally; this is the reason girls can bear many challenges over time.

But the matter of rural areas where not aware of the disease and how to keep away from it. This is a reason women are suffering much.  The parents first focus on boys, not girls. Today is the time to make them aware and show them the right way to keep their health well. So that they can be a future changer. Their physical well-being directly impacts their academic performance, allowing them to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for a successful career.

5. Education- Decision makers

Education is the greatest powerful catalyst for transforming girls into confident decision-makers in their personal lives. A quality education provides girls with the knowledge and makes them critical thinkers.

 If you are reading this article, let's stop reading and take a little time to think about our girls who are living in our family or our society. Where are they? And what is their educational condition? If we are responsible people, let's think and help them, and guide them as much as possible.  Suppose they drop out of school and something happens to them, it will have an impact on your and my house.  Before anything happens, let's come and join hand to hands and lift them for betterment. Education builds their stability and makes them better decision makers.

If any girls or boys do not go to school around your home, and you come to know, this will be your responsibility to ask and know why they are not going to school. Why am I hitting this word because we are educated and know we are well set ourselves. If you are successful in sending reschool, you have done a wonderful job, and at least you have helped one small one to create a future and make decision makers. Education helps them to be decision makers.
