Poverty is the world's biggest social evil, and population growth is one of its causes. Every country discusses this issue annually and allocates funds for it. However, many countries have failed to control population growth because they fail to reach the right place at the right time. Many organizations are working in the name of population reduction, but due to a lack of social support, they too are failing.
The global birth rate in 2025 is estimated to be 17,134 births per 1,000 people. This will directly impact future generations, but even today's generation is facing challenges due to the growing population. The government and other institutions are also making efforts in the field of education, and population control programs are organized from time to time to control the population. The lower classes are particularly burdened by poverty, and they are also having more children.
Poverty alleviation, the health and well-being of youth, and education are being profoundly impacted. When I was young, people used to tell me that people like you are the leaders of the future. I was deeply moved by this.
Our youth are the future of the world. To make them strong and prosperous, we must work hard to eradicate poverty, ensure education, and ensure their health. I'm from India. I was born in a very small village in a small state. I received my primary education in the village school, but moved to Delhi for higher education. I spent many years in Delhi, and I even got married there. From time to time, I would hear about my hometown, where our state is the most backward in India in terms of education.
I felt very sad. One night, I couldn't sleep and decided that I would leave Delhi that year and go to my district to help in the field of education. I taught free tuition to children for many years, and whenever I would gather in the village, I would always talk about the importance of education. The education sector is in the worst condition in my state. Every year, the government allocates the largest budget for education, yet there has been no significant improvement in education.
Children and adolescents, especially in rural areas, live in poor conditions. Due to their parents' lack of education, their children are also illiterate. Being illiterate also hinders their health. Today, I feel bad when I think about the future of young people, as this will have serious consequences for future generations.
Many families lack adequate food, clean water, safe housing, jobs, or good schools. While some schools are good, they are mostly private schools, where poor children are unlikely to get admission. Even if they pass the pre-admission tests, how will they get admission? Government schools exist, but the lack of quality education makes their lives even worse. Population and poverty make their lives extremely difficult and prevent them from achieving their dreams.
Health is equally important. Young people need proper care when they fall ill, good food, and support for their minds and emotions, all of which are lacking in both the Ishikari and Gran areas. Mental health is the most vulnerable, and it cannot even think positively. This is why it is often overlooked everywhere, but it is just as important as physical health. When young people are healthy and free from poverty, they can learn to live better, work better, and build better lives.
To achieve this, governments, schools, and communities must collaborate to prevent this future. This can begin with families, encouraging education, and providing them with local self-employment. We must create jobs for our own families, create safe living spaces, and provide free or low-cost healthcare for ourselves and future generations. If young people want to have a voice in society, they must be listened to and included in the decisions that affect their lives.
Helping young people today means building a better tomorrow. When we eliminate poverty and protect their health, we allow them to become strong, wise, and compassionate adults. Let's take action now to give every young person the life they deserve.
